Let me start off by clearing the air. I am not trying to come off as some snobby movie geek or uppity film connoisseur. I am just an average ol’ dame who loves to watch movies. Albeit, my friends think I have a very random (I say eclectic) selection of cinematic favorites. My tastes in film run all over the genre map. From 50s & 60s classics, action & adventure, cult classics, International, anime, comedy, to 80s teeny bopper movies…I like a little bit of everything (just like my taste in music)!
Over these past few weeks, I’ve been continuously watching movies from my Netflix queue, & that prompted me to want to write up this post. This is probably more for my own self-pleasure than anything else, but I wanted to write up a list of my favorite movies just to see what pops up. I’ve tried to explain a few of these movie titles with my husband (who’s also a big movie fan). However, he is neither interested in, nor does he recognize, any movie that’s been produced before 1989.
Here, I present to you, a brief list of my cinematic favorites (in no particular order):

- Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea (both Japanese language & English language animated movies)

- Transformers / Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (didn’t like movie #3…especially Rosie Huntington-Whitely’s acting!)

- Sex And The City + Sex And The City 2 (These movies are corny to say the least, but come on…they’re my 2 guilty pleasures!)
