Today I walked 8,098 steps. The heels of my feet are sore from all the walking I did at a county fair, but I’m glad I was able to make some fun memories with my little bean before she starts kindergarten next month. My, oh my how time is zooming by so fast.

So, I went to a county fair today, & I realized my family are just not cut out for these types of events. We don’t particularly enjoy the amusement park rides, not even the slow ones for little kids. We are not interested in winning any of the Chinese knockoff prizes at the carnival games. Also, we have no interest in eating the highly overpriced, double fried, greasy, calorie-busting food.

We went at the invitation of our closest friends, so all of our kids could spend more time together. The kids had the most fun out of all of us. Jian, our little bean & I are pooped. I wish I had an electric foot massager, but mostly, I wish my little bean hadn’t lost her favorite lucky necklace today…the one from her dad that traveled all the way from China with the most beautiful backstory.
